Budget: R62 500 per month (depending on experience)

Location: Bedfordview, Johannesburg

Working Type: Hybrid (2 days in-office)

Main Responsibilities:

Strategy & Content Creation

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and technologies, proactively identifying growth opportunities.
  • Align with brand goals to create tactical social media solutions and innovative campaigns.
  • Produce engaging lo-fi video content, such as behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Write compelling and on-message content for all social platforms, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Brief designers and work with the Content Team to apply best practices across all creative assets.
  • Collaborate with editors and designers to:some text
    • Optimise content creation and management.
    • Develop world-class, informative, and appealing content.
    • Guide copywriters, designers, and junior team members on platform-specific content strategies.

Community Management

  • Oversee and foster growth within social communities, encouraging user-generated content.
  • Schedule and publish posts accurately and on time.
  • Engage with community comments to build a vibrant, responsive social presence.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate and analyze social media reports using both native and third-party tools.
  • Provide actionable insights to clients, partners, and internal teams, aiming to exceed KPI targets.
  • Identify new opportunities for continual improvement and growth.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and paid media agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social media content creation and community management, preferably in a client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, formats, and nuances for each major channel.
  • Proficiency in measurement, scheduling, and reporting tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Brandwatch) and native platform analytics.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to adapt brand voice and tone across multiple brands.
  • Ability to interpret client briefs and produce copy that aligns with objectives.
