SEO Team Lead

Budget: R45 000 (per month)

Location: Claremont, Cape Town

Working Type: Hybrid, 3 days in-office (Tuesday - Thursday)

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the SEO team, fostering professional growth, skill development, and the successful delivery of SEO initiatives.
• Lead the development and execution of advanced SEO strategies across all digital channels, ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic goals. This includes managing tracking setup, overseeing link-building efforts, managing local citations, and providing UX recommendations to enhance both search engine visibility and overall performance.
• Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate SEO strategies into broader marketing initiatives. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure the Company remains competitive and innovative in its SEO approach.
• Foster regular and transparent communication of SEO performance, strategies, and results to stakeholders. Provide timely updates and practical insights to support ongoing improvements.

Skills Required:

• Advanced SEO strategy development and execution
• Leadership and team management
• Advanced reporting, analytics, and presentation skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
• Microsoft Suite: Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
• Google Suite: Gmail, Slides, Sheets, Docs, Hangouts, etc
• SEO Tools: SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, BrightLocal
• Proficiency in various CMS platforms i.e WordPress, Umbraco, Drupal, etc
• HTML5 and CSS for understanding and implementing basic web design elements
• Link building strategies
• Wireframing Tools: Figma, Moqups, or similar
