Mid-Senior DTP Designer (Contract)

Working Type: In-office

Working Location: Melrose Arch, Johannesburg

Hours: 40 hours weekly (08:30 - 17:00)

Retainer: R36 000 per month

Contract Duration: 3 months (Starting ASAP)

Main Responsibilities:

• Creative design editing for promotions and campaigns
• Working to a design brief
• Using specialist computer design software to prepare designs and produce layouts
• Producing final layouts with detailed specifications for typefaces, colour, images, layout specs per country.
• Reporting on job status
• Ensuring quality production

Skills & Experience:

• Practical DTP/ design related skills
• Fully computer literate in Adobe packages: Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, 
• AfterEffects would be advantageous.
• Creative, with a good eye for design 
• Accuracy and ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to consistently produce good quality work
• Ability to manage time well and work under pressure
• Sound knowledge of typography, fonts and design
• Practical skills for print production would be advantageous
• Good communication skills
• Good spelling and grammar
• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work as part of a team
