We are looking for a highly skilled Marketing Specialist to join the Brand Management function of our Marketing team on a temporary basis (maternity cover). This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional to manage and execute brand initiatives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Budget: Market Related

Working Hours: 20 - 40 hours (depending on your availability)

Location: Claremont, Cape Town

Contract Duration: 6-months

Start Date: 17 Feb - 31 July 2025

Main Responsibilities:

Advertising, Media, and Communication

  • Develop, manage, and process briefs and debriefs with media and advertising agencies.
  • Coordinate creative approvals, chase lists, and ensure timely submission of advertising materials.

Agency Relationship Management

  • Oversee day-to-day deliverables with media and creative agencies, ensuring collaboration and alignment.
  • Organize and lead regular status meetings with agencies.

Research and Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct quarterly desktop research for competitor reviews.
  • Manage the briefing and presentation process for commissioned research with external companies.

Design and Business Unit Deliverables

  • Supervise the briefing and design process for event collateral, branding, animations, and other business unit materials.
  • Handle sourcing, sampling, and branding of promotional items.

Coro-Gear Stock Management

  • Maintain inventory and process orders for Coronation-branded merchandise.

Collateral Development and Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Coordinate updates and creation of various collateral, including:some text
    • Business cards
    • Updates to brochures
    • Call center IVR recordings and other business-required recordings

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage billing details, supplier onboarding, and invoicing.
  • Prepare updates for EXCO reports.
  • Coordinate staff photographs as required.
  • Maintain marketing status documents with brand and design updates.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with exposure to advertising, design, or creative agencies.
  • Experience within financial services is advantageous.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
