Graphic Designer (Mid-Senior)

The company is seeking a talented and marketing-orientated, mid-senior Graphic Designer with a passion for digital advertising to join the growing team. Reporting to the head of the design, you will work within the greater marketing team to primarily develop the client's brand assets and digital content that support the company’s growth and business objectives.

Budget: R35 000 - R38 000

Location: CBD, Cape Town

Working Type: Hybrid (2-3 days a week in-office)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with our marketing team to ensure all content aligns with Flow’s business objectives. 
  • Work with the design team on selected client projects and campaigns from conception to final delivery, ensuring first-rate quality and creativity.
  • Maintain brand consistency across various channels and marketing materials.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to introduce fresh, innovative ideas into both internal and external projects.
  • Design captivating graphics and marketing material for the Flow brand, including but not limited to: 
    • Infographics 
    • Social media content
    • Email marketing assets 
    • Product videos and guides 
    • Website graphics 
    • Presentations 
    • PDFs and ebooks 
    • Promotional material 

Qualifications:

  • A relevant 3-year qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent 
  • 4-6 years of full time experience in a graphic design role

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator and Photoshop) and other relevant design tools. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • A solid understanding of best practices for digital platforms. 
  • Strong attention to detail with a dedication to maintaining a consistently high standard of artwork produced. 
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • In-depth understanding of both digital and print design processes. 
  • A solid grasp of copywriting for digital channels. 
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: The ability to anticipate challenges, take initiative, and go beyond the typical scope of work to find solutions. You are action-oriented, forward-thinking, and consistently look for ways to improve processes and outcomes without needing to be prompted.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Design experience and expertise across multiple channels i.e. email, paid advertising, social media, web 
  • An understanding of digital marketing channels, the creative needs and best practice of each channel 
  • A strategic creative approach in terms of targeting, industry trends and customer behaviour (ie: using your initiative to determine what will work) 
  • A keen interest in copywriting and content creation
  • Experience in AI asset generation 
  • Video editing and animation skills
